April is National Heartworm Awareness Month

Here in Georgia, the risk of heartworm disease is especially high due to our warm climate and year-round mosquito presence. Heartworm is a serious, potentially fatal disease, but it is completely preventable. By making a donation to LOHS, you can help fund heartworm prevention, testing, and treatment, along with other medical care for pets in need.

When you donate $20 (or more!) to our Heart Wall Challenge, you'll receive a heart tribute displayed on the walls of our shelter lobby.
